Last updated: May 2025 · Effective for MedhaMind Android App, Chrome Extension, and Web App
1. Who We Are
MedhaMind ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered study assistant that helps students solve exam questions. We operate the MedhaMind Android app, Chrome extension, and web application at medhamind.in.
Contact: mbivash407@gmail.com
2. What We Collect
Account information: Your email address and encrypted password when you register or log in via Google/email (managed by Supabase Auth).
Questions and content: The text and images you submit to get answers. These are stored to enforce daily usage limits and improve the service.
Subscription and payment: Your subscription status and payment records. Actual card/UPI details are handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see or store your payment credentials.
Device and usage data: Basic information like your device OS version and the features you use, for debugging and improving the app.
Screen content (Android app only): When you use the floating bubble feature, you manually select a region of your screen. That image is sent to our servers solely to answer your question. It is not stored permanently, shared, or used for any other purpose.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To answer your questions using AI
- To enforce free-plan usage limits (5 solves/day)
- To manage your subscription and payment status
- To send account-related emails (e.g. login links)
- To debug errors and improve the service
4. Third-Party Services
Supabase — Authentication and database (supabase.com). Your account data is stored on Supabase servers.
Razorpay — Payment processing (razorpay.com). Handles all payment card/UPI data. We only receive a payment confirmation.
Groq / DeepSeek AI — AI inference providers. Your question text and images are sent to these services to generate answers. They process your data under their own privacy policies.
Wikipedia — For factual questions, a search query is sent to Wikipedia's public API to retrieve reference information.
5. Screen Capture (Android Floating Bubble)
The floating bubble feature captures a screenshot of the screen region you manually select. This requires the "Display over other apps" and "Media Projection" permissions.
- Screen capture only happens when you actively tap "Solve" after drawing a selection box.
- The captured image is sent to our servers to answer your question.
- It is not stored on our servers after the answer is delivered.
- It is never shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than answering your question.
- You can revoke the Media Projection permission at any time from Android Settings.
6. Data Retention
Questions and answers you submit are stored in our database and linked to your account. You can request deletion of your data by emailing us. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days of your request.
7. Children's Privacy
MedhaMind is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact us and we will delete the account.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS for all data in transit, encrypted authentication tokens, and access controls on our database. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at mbivash407@gmail.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
